Half of these have failure states; half don’t
This is an archive of the Nintendo eShop sale from the third week of August 2026. The discounts have ended and the prices above are from that time.
Six entries under ₩10,000 made this an easy episode to buy into, but by character it splits precisely on whether failure exists. Miss that axis and you’ll buy the opposite of what you wanted.
The ones without failure
Sticky Business, Solarpunk and Is This Seat Taken? belong here. No deadlines, no death, and a wrong move is simply undone.
Is This Seat Taken? in particular has no time limit and no move limit — a logic puzzle that never rushes you. For winding down at the end of a day, these three are the answer in this list.
The ones with failure
Killer Frequency kills the caller if you decide too slowly. Despite the comedy-horror packaging, consequences stick.
DREDGE makes you flee after dark, and Warpips loses the run if your composition is wrong — though at 10–20 minutes a run, the cost of failing is small.
Two entries that need people
Gang Beasts only works with people. Switch supports four on one screen, but alone there’s no reason to own it.
Heavenly Bodies is also better co-op. Moving each arm with a separate stick means the real value is two people struggling together.
If you’re looking at this now
Most of these are small indies, which discount often but shallowly — typically repeating a 20–60% band, so there’s little reason to rush at full price.
Blood Dungeon and ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition at the bottom were unreleased then. They have reviews now — check the store.
The price records here are Steam-based, so if you’re buying on Switch, confirm on the eShop.
