An episode with almost nothing to fight

This is an archive of the Nintendo eShop sale from the first week of August 2026. The discounts have ended and the prices above are from that time.

You dig a yard, trim potted plants, cast a line and leave it, keep house on a rooftop. With virtually no combat anywhere, the axis for reading this list is whether a game gives you a goal or not.

With goals, and without

Clear goals: A Game About Digging A Hole and I Am Future. The first has an explicit loop — dig deeper, buy a better shovel — and the second requires you to build up a household to survive. Pick these if you want the game to tell you what to do.

No goals: Leafy Corner and Cast n Chill. Nothing fails and nothing is due, so they feel aimless if you want objectives — and they’re exactly right when you want to be asked for nothing.

One entry where the game sets the pace, not you

Cozy Grove stops you once you’ve done the day’s content. It’s the only game here where the pace is the game’s decision, not yours.

Frustrating if you like binging; exactly right if you like returning in small daily doses. This is a shape you need to know before buying on price alone.

One with a clearly defined length

The Gecko Gods wraps in about six hours. Most of this list is open-ended, so the edges are blurry — this is the one with a definite start and finish. If you want to complete something over a weekend, it’s here.

Things to confirm

We Were Here in Another Winter is two-player only. Each person sees a different world and must explain it aloud, so it does not work solo. It’s the only entry here that needs another person.

Leafy Corner and Duskfade have no Korean support. Leafy Corner is about arranging plants so the impact is small, but confirm anyway.

Montabi and Duskfade at the bottom were unreleased at the time. They have reviews now — check the store.
