An episode you choose by how short a session is

This is an archive of the Nintendo eShop sale from the fourth week of July 2026. The discounts have ended and the prices above are from that time.

The selection rule was “one round before bed.” So the axis for reading this list isn’t price — it’s how cleanly you can stop once you’ve started.

They break into three stopping units

Stops at a run: Balatro and Magic Rune Stone. Balatro especially has short runs that keep pulling you into the next one, which best represents this episode’s character.

Stops when it’s over: Don’t Mess with Bober (about an hour) and The Coma 3. These want to be finished once started, so they suit a weekend more than a bedtime.

Stops anywhere: Stray Souls Kitten Journey and MotionRec. Progress saves and there’s no tension, so quitting after five minutes costs you nothing.

Why you don’t need to know poker

Balatro scores poker hands, but that doesn’t mean it demands poker skill. What actually decides runs is the Jokers, of which you get only a handful of slots — making it closer to a combination puzzle than a card game. If not knowing the rules was your hesitation, that isn’t a reason to skip it.

Where you need to check the language

Text situations differ sharply here. MotionRec has not a single line of dialogue, so there’s no language barrier at all. At the other end, Haste has no Korean support (it’s a running game, so it won’t block progress).

In between sit Balatro, Decorate Decoration and Magic Rune Stone. Korean is included but awkward passages have been reported, so skim the store reviews if you’re picking a text-heavy one.

This is where the new-release section began

Big Walk and Lies of P Complete Edition at the bottom weren’t discounts but upcoming releases. This is the episode where we first carved out a new-release slot inside a sale roundup.

Both have since launched, so judge from current reviews rather than the anticipation-era write-up.
